The Easyriders Tour rolled into Sacramento, Ca to start the 2010 year off with the first "customs" motorcycle show and despite the bad weather over the weekend the event pulled in some very impressive numbers.

This motorcycle show allows custom motorcycle builders both pros and the average Joe to compete for awards as voted by the spectators & judges, making for (2) classes. There is always a nice variety on display here, you can walk the aisles and see everything from custom Baggers, custom Choppers, Bobs, Tricked-out Sportbikes, and even long stretched out bikes. We saw some new custom builds and some that were returns from last year either way the place was packed with some pretty cool custom motorcycles.

This show is always a treat for us to attend as we see many of out friends & readers here and get to catch up with everyone on what's being going on with them. We bumped into Kirk Taylor of Custom Design Studios located in Novato, Ca - here in the Bay Area at show and he pointed out some bikes to me that he thought were pretty cool; Kirk has been around for years and has the eye for what is hot.

Kirk was involved in the Chopper Challenge and has been in numerous magazines, not to mention he has placed in top spots of Easyriders Shows in the past. We briefly touched on the bad economy and how it is affecting everything especially custom motorcycle building and advertising.

There will be 35 trophies up for grabs at this event, with the top three in each class automatically advancing to the Invitational in Columbus, Ohio, where they will compete for top honors. The Columbus Invitational is the last stop of the tour scheduled for Feb. 12 – 14, 2010.

Winners from last year’s 2009 Invitational show will be on tour this year as members of the 2010 Centerfold Builders. One of which the “Fastest Harley-Davidson in the World” built by BUB Enterprises’ Denis Manning, was be on display.

The Easyriders Bike Show Tour is held every year at the Sacramento Convention Center in January. The show runs from 11 – 9 on Saturday and 11 – 6 on Sunday. Reasonably price: Admission is $18 Saturday, $16 on Sunday, and tickets for kids 6-12 are $7 while children younger than five are free.
And of course there was the babes at the show AFT Customs had the right combination at the booth with Sara & Sukhee as seen on Off Da Chain Magazine cover, see Vol. II Issue V 2010. As always we were up to our own shenanigans

The vendors were out in full force at the show and they were busy as people shopping for clothing, riding gear and accessories. The local Starbucks had a line almost as long as the line to get into the event as bikers who road to this event were trying to get warmed up with a nice hot cup of Joe. Despite the weather thier were plenty of motorcycles parked outside and the streets of Sacramento was roaring with sound of Harley Davidson.

We were looking for some new products at the show to see what was new on the market - see more in the next issue.

Well now that the year is off and running with this first show out of the way I am looking forward to seeing you all out and about at some this years events, so stay tune to Off Da Chain Magazine and checkout some the cool stuff we will be doing on ODC TV. Just click on the link on the left.

Until next time!
